Artifact 3- Customized Curriculum Book
The artifact presented here is a curriculum book created specifically for a student with a disability. As can be seen within the book, this one was created for a student that has a mathematics specific learning disability. The content within the book in based on a lesson found from an age and knowledge appropriate textbook lesson that has already been created. The lesson also aligns with an Indiana DOE and common core mathematics standard. In the book, you can find a lesson about the value of dimes, nickels, and pennies and the value of group of dimes, nickels, and pennies. The information is presented in a specific order so that each skill learned in the lesson is prerequisite to the next.

ISTE-S Knowledge Constructor 3c:
Students will meet this standard because they will use multiple media forms to gain knowledge about the subject. The students can use a physical text book, this customized book, and the videos and resources embedded within the video to learn the subject.
ISTE-E 3:
This standard was met by carefully taking an already finished product and turning it into something of my own to use in the future. For this project, I created an online product that was properly cited and all credit was given where credit is due.
INTASC Principle #7
I created this book for a student who does not regularly use standard classroom materials. I was able to use my own knowledge of the subject as well as an outside resource to create a book for this student. While this book may not directly align with the general education classroom lesson, it does meet curriculum goals and offer the student a life skill that will be used in his/her everyday life.
